Click on right to find missionaries in Armenia
Armenia is a country of strategic importance. Nestled in the Caucasus region of the former Soviet Union, it borders on Iran which in turn borders on Afghanistan. The potential to reach the surrounding Muslim world is unlimited.
The PAOC is working with national pastors in the northern Armenian city of Vanadzor to train leaders, church planters and missionaries to head into the surrounding Muslim nations. The PAOC was actively involved in opening the Ararat School of the Bible in April 2001 where they now disciple men and women in the Word and equip them for practical ministry.
Currently, we are planning to plant churches in needy areas throughout Armenia and are looking into opportunities to send missionaries to Turkey and Iran. We are also beginning to mentor a group of potential women leaders to make an impact on the national church. Women make up approximately 70 to 80 percent of the population in Armenia.
