Updates on the Village of Hope Website

There are many changes and updates of information on our website www.vohafrica.com.

There are new newsletters from both Zimbabwe and Malawi; we have updated information for the Malawi VOH, and we have added a homepage for our newest location in Bujumbura, Burundi (click here).

Feature Article – VOH Expands to Mongu & Bujumbura

MONGU

VOH is now registered in Mongu, Zambia, which is located in Western Province.

The local King allocated the land for Village of Hope and a small community school has been started bringing education to vulnerable children living in Mongu.

The project will be under the leadership of Paul and Marinette van Coller of the South African Assemblies of God.

BUJUMBURA

We have recently entered into an agency agreement with a local church in Bujumbura Burundi.

This agreement will allow Villages of Hope – Africa to begin caring for children in need in Burundi. The work will begin by caring for 20 orphans and vulnerable children by providing education fees, school uniforms, nutrition and health care.

The local government has offered land to the Village of Hope for the development of a school, children’s home and child care center. We hope to begin plans for development of this center in 2010.
